We believe that many people and companies in sport supplement industry are waiting for the final result from FDA about DMAA this year. But at the same time when Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals is fighting FDA in court, companies in this industry are also looking at the next replacement of a good effective stimulant for DMAA, 2-Aminoisoheptane looks like is becoming a winner after selection.

It is hard to know who is the first one call it 2-Aminoisoheptane, from its chemical structure, 2-Amino-6-Methylheptane Hcl is a better and more accurate name for it. It was also called “DMHA”,“Octordrine”,”1,5-Dimethyhexylamine”, "6-methylheptan-2-amine" on the market.

There are some studies about the effects of 2-Aminoisoheptane from the web, some review said it could be 90% as the effects of DMAA if we use appropriate doses(which is around 75-150mg). 

However, we couldn’t find any formal research reports of its effects and benefits on human body, so it is hard to tell its side effect and its fate in the next two year. If it is a very strong stimulant similar to DMAA, will it be the next banned ingredient after DMBA Hcl, AMP Citrate, DMAA?
